It had been a couple months since the incident and he was feeling a lot better. Well, he had felt fine before! It was just... different now. And he didn't understand why. The young man fixed his blonde hair, staring himself down in the mirror that was much too large for him.

He looked damn good too.

Pursing his lips, he turned to the right, looking himself up and down. He narrowed his eyes before turning to the left instead, trying to see if he had a good side. Why did that matter? He felt his cheeks warm slightly.

Ugh. Take it easy. Take this slow.

Leaning down, he pulled at his white button up shirt. Crisp black pants and shiny black shoes. There seemed to be nothing wrong. He looked flawless. Scott felt like he was missing something. Something important.

Nothing important was missing.

Scott shook himself, turning to look himself face on again. Just staring at himself. Crisp blue eyes staring back at him. He needed to figure himself out. But what was there to figure out? He had the chance to leave now! Aaron was giving him the chance to leave and he chose to stay a couple extra nights. Why? He paused for the moment, before sighing and throwing his head forwards, letting it rest against the cold glass.

Oh well, he had a dinner to go to anyways, so he could let his mind rest for the night; At least until he got back here.

Hearing the handle jiggle, Scott turned and Aaron entered the washroom. There was a moment when he felt his heartrate spike upon seeing the giant male. Sharp blue eyes scanning the toned body and he-

"Oh shit, sorry," Aaron murmured, upon seeing the form of Scott on the counter. "Didn't know you were in here."

Scott shook his head, finishing with styling his hair back up and heading to the edge, where he had set up a climbing rope. It made it easier to get around that way. "Nah, it's fine," he easily collected himself, rubbing the back of his neck. Oh God, it's happening.

He grabbed the rope, tugged and tested it's weight and hold again. He knew it was up there securely and he began to descend down to the floor. It was a long way down, but he was fine with heights. He'd never had a fear of being off the ground. Hanging by a rope wasn't that bad either.

"I was done anyways," before long his feet touched the ground and Aaron took a step to the side, to allow Scott room to exit without threatening the human male with his size.

"Seriously, if you weren't finished in here, I don't mind waiting a couple more minutes," Aaron said, dropping down to a knee to see the tiny figure a little better.

Scott tucked his hands into his pockets, peering up to the larger male and he offered a small smile, "it's all good. I have a dinner in half an hour anyways and it takes about fifteen minutes to get back into the Second Sector."

Aaron kept his hand down near Scott, but it didn't bother either of them. He let out a small noise of 'got it' and began to get up again. Scott moved away and back out the huge door, but before he could get too far away, Aaron called out to him. But when Scott turned to see him, Aaron wasn't facing him. "You got a little duck tail, Scottie."

He furrowed his brows before feeling around back. Turns out the back of his shirt wasn't tucked in and Scott felt his cheeks warm up again. He quickly tucked his shirt in and fixed his black, silk tie. Fixing himself one last time, he left for the outside world and started his walk down the street.

---

The dinner lasted about two hours long, set up with family. Sloane and his side, while Cooper's three brothers and parents were invited as well. It was mainly a huge family gathering. The children were laughing and playing while the adults sat and talked, catching up on missed subjects.

And then there was the long talking afterwards. All in all, the night went on for about five hours. The kids were getting tired and everyone was starting to finish up and head home. Which was about time in Scott's opinion.

The last ones to leave where Sloane, Cooper, Avery - who was asleep on her father's shoulder - and himself. He didn't mind that much, as the whole family at once could be a little much.

"Sloane this was great," Scott said, stifling a yawn behind his hand. "It was good to see you too, Cooper and tell Avery that Uncle Scott was happy to see her too." With the little girl sleeping, he didn't want to wake her up.

Sloane folded her hands together in front of her and she rested a hand on his shoulder. "We can give you a ride home if you need one."

He shook his head, "thanks for the offer, Short-stack, but I'm staying with a friend."

Sloane moved her hand and she crossed her arms across her chest. "A friend?" She rose a brow. "Have I met this 'friend'?"

He rolled his eyes, before laying a hand on her shoulder. "He's safe, Sloane, you don't have to worry about him."

She looked somewhat surprised. "Him?" And that's when he realized he'd slipped up. She didn't stop there, but a smile spread across her face warmly. "You're staying with another guy. Do you like him?"

Scott felt his cheeks warming up and he felt his suit getting a little hotter. He tugged at his tie to loosen it a little bit as he smiled nervously. "I-I dunno yet," he offered up, but the answer was obvious.

A brighter smile overcame her lips and she hugged him. "My baby brother's got a crush!" She squealed, as Cooper was tucking Avery into her seat, and doing up her seatbelt for the sleeping child. "Awe, Scottie, why didn't you ever give me a call to tell me?!"

"Because I knew you'd embarrass me."

"Oh, Cooper doesn't care," Sloane grinned and said male walked back over after shutting the car door.

"Hey, I'm not here to judge," Cooper pushed in his reply, before wrapping an arm around Sloane's waist. "But we really can give you a ride into the Sector. It's a bit of a walk from here."

Scott was tempted to turn down the offer and take this time to really think over his feelings on the walk back, but he might as well have accepted. So he did. And before long they were almost home.

He slipped out of the car silently after bidding Sloane and Cooper a good night. He watched as they drove off and their car lights disappeared out of sight. Scott turned back to face the huge house, before glancing down to the human sized door a couple paces away from the main door.

Heading up the sidewalk, he opened the door and slipped inside. Locking it behind him, he slid his jacket off his shoulders and folded it over his arm. "Aaron?" He called, curious as to where the male was.

The house was unusually quiet and that was slightly unnerving to him. He pushed on a little further, before changing course to his own room. Aaron had been kind enough to give him his own personal area. It was pretty much a secluded area in the bedroom they shared. His heart pounded slightly at that, but he moved in through the huge doors. Still no Aaron.

Getting to his makeshift bed, Scott tossed his jacket onto it before unstrapping his tie and setting that down too. He only had a couple pairs of clothes with him, as he didn't want to hassle Aaron with bringing his entire wardrobe, so he brought what he knew he would need. Changing into a form fitting black shirt and some loose grey night pants, he exited his area and went to look around again.

"C'mon Aaron, you know I don't like playing hide-and-seek," Scott called again, rounding the corner to one of the large doors and sticking to the wall like glue. He knew not to get too close to the centre of the hall when dealing with a playful giant. But this was weird. The house was never this quiet.

Sure, maybe at night, but Aaron wasn't in bed. That much was obvious.

This is getting ridiculous, where are you?

No, he wasn't going to give up this search and before long, it proved that his perseverance was a good thing. Aaron was sitting at the kitchen table, his headphones in as he watched a video of... something. His elbow was planted into the counter and his head was in his hand.

No wonder Aaron hadn't heard him.

Getting a little closer, Scott went right over to the giant's pant leg and gave it a sharp yank. The small movement made Aaron look away from his laptop and down towards him.

"Scott," he said, startled. "You're back! How was the dinner?"

"Yep," he replied gently, beginning to make a climb up Aaron's sweats. Aaron didn't move upon feeling the tiny hands grasping into his clothing and soon enough, Scott was sliding down the crook of his arm and onto the table instead. "Dinner was good. It was nice to see the family again."

Aaron smiled warmly, pulling his headphones out and set them to the side. Watching as Scott moved and sat on the mousepad of his laptop. He turned around to face the large screen and tried to silently figure out what he was watching. "What's up with the video?" He couldn't tell what it was, but it was sort of fuzzy, like it was taken on a phone.

Watching as the giant's face slightly warmed up, he smiled nervously. "I, uh, it's nothing really," he said, moving one of his hands to rub the back of his neck. "You can watch if you want to."

True to his word, Aaron pulled the headphones out of the jack. Scooping Scott up and setting him down next to the mousepad, he moved to press play. The human didn't say anything as he was moved, and he instead watched this all. And the video started.

"What're you doing?" Scott's voice said from somewhere a little farther down.

"Just taking a video," Aaron's much louder voice replied meaning he was the one holding the camera.

There was a gentle chuckle from lower again. "Why?"

"I dunno. Just sort of wanted to."

"Aaron, pause it," Scott demanded, well, more like asked. His wish was granted as the young male looked down to him.

"Something the matter?" Now Aaron was getting nervous. Maybe Scott didn't like watching videos of himself? Maybe he just didn't like watching videos?

Scott turned to face him fully, those little blue eyes watching him carefully. Oh, he was certainly nervous now. "No, just curious to why you're watching this old videos."

Aaron chuckled gently, his eyes showing how worried he was about this whole thing. "B-because I realized something living with you, Scottie," he replied again, averting his eyes as his face was getting hotter and hotter. And it was obvious now that his cheeks were ablaze. "That I, uh, I like you. Y'know? More than a friend way and I-"

"Aaron, wait," Scott broke off the large male and he pushed himself off the computer, standing openly on the table as he felt his own face warm up. "You mean... you like me as a person or as a roommate or.." Or wanting to be your boyfriend dumbass. "You really like me like that?"

Scott didn't know how to reply to that. For years, he'd wanted to find the right man. He'd always wanted his own Prince Charming to come sweep him off his feet. And maybe with Aaron, maybe this was actually a possibility.

"Yeah, I really do like you like that," when Aaron was met with nothing but silence, he only took that the wrong way. "Look, I'm sorry Scott, but I needed to get this off my chest and this was the only way I could think of doing it."

"Why are you apologizing for admitting how you feel?" Scott called up, a bright smile on his face now, his heart pounding quickly in his chest. "This is the best news I've heard all week! The guy I've been crushing on likes me back and I don't know what to say, or what to do or even really how to react.." He rubbed the back of his neck and dropped his gaze.

Aaron was shocked once more, but he broke into a grin as well. He tipped the tiny chin upwards and beamed down at him. "How about we celebrate with some popcorn and Netflix."

Scott couldn't have agreed fast enough.
So, I got a message on profile asking how Scott and Aaron actually started dating, or how they developed their relationship.

So, I thought to myself; "Kat, how did Scott and Aaron develop their relationship?" Which I concluded by writing this little piece. I hope this explains how they got together a little better.

Feedback is always welcome! You guys make me a better writer!
