My spot was brilliant. Under the couch and even if he did find me, he wouldn't be able to reach me. I was just out of reach. And I meant, just. Grinning to myself, I felt the earth shake beneath me as he walked into the room.
"Kat?" I heard his voice, shake the air around me, lightly. "Where on earth have you gone?"
I stifled a laugh into the back of my hand and I pressed myself against the far wall, underneath the couch. I watched as his socked feet came into my line of view. Keeping quiet, the floor vibrated as Beckett got to his knees and looked around, closer to the floor.
Leaning down, he searched under the couch. His hazel eyes sweeping over me more than once, unable to see from the darkness and dust-bunnies. But, after a few more sweeps with his eyes, they finally land on my small form.
"Kathryn," his voice sounded relived that he had found me. "I was worried on where you went, I didn't want to find you underfoot."
I rolled my golden eyes. "I'm fine, Beckett," I replied, opening my arms for emphasis. "I'm totally fine, but out of you're reach~."
"Hm, is that so?" He teased lightly, getting down fully so he was laying on his stomach and looking under. Beckett smiled at me lightly, as he began to reach under the couch for me.
I curled my knees under myself and kept myself pressed against the wall. The tip of his middle finger just brushed over me and I giggled softly. Letting out a small grunt, he pulled back and quirked a brow.
"You really are out of my reach," he said, pushing himself up and back onto his knees. "But, not for long."
I furrowed by brows in confusion, until I heard the sofa moving above me. My eyes widened slightly. "Holy crap!" I let out a small gasp and scrambled backwards. He was going to move the couch so he could get at me.
Light suddenly fills my vision and I blink away the blurriness. Rubbing at my eyes, I started to crawl away on all fours. Not today, Beckett. I thought, keeping up my crawling.
I felt the air shift around me, and it grew warmer. I give a small jolt of surprise as I feel fingers loop under me and scoop me into his hands. I'm encased in the warmth of his hands as he places the other over top of me.
"Beckett," I whined, playfully pushing at the fingers keeping me trapped in darkness. "Put me down."
"Well, I thought we were playing hide and seek," he said, opening his hands and keeping me cupped. "And this is how you play."
I giggled softly, then crossed my arms and pouted. "Cheat."
"Cheat?" He blinked, before breaking into a grin. "Nah, I just used my size to my advantage and caught you easily because that's what you wanted to do."
Rolling my eyes, I smiled and leaned against his relaxed into his hold. "Fine, you big baby," I said. "You win. Now what do you want to do?"
He looked down to me with a quirked brow. "Nap."
"Sounds good to me, big guy," I grinned, before curling into his hands and shutting my eyes. "Let me know what you get the to bedroom."
I felt Beckett shake his head. "Nope, you're walking."
I looked up and gave him a look that said 'really?' without words, and he nodded before slipping me off onto the floor and walking to his bedroom. "See you in there."
"Darn it, Beckett," I said, quickly breaking into a jog to keep up. "Next time, I get to be carried."

For Those Below (Short)
Okay, so this wasn't the perfect plan.
The rational side of Miya was thinking exactly this while she moved silently, and quite naturally, in the darkest corner of the big room, gripping her side satchel with tremulous fingers.
Inside the bag, covered in thin fabric, she could feel the familiar form of the tiny object and sighed, closing her eyes, her stomach hurting in anticipation.
She was about to do something she had been taught all her life to avoid, after all.
She was willingly approaching a human being.
An asleep human being, but that didn't make that much difference, really. Not to her, not in her current position. What am I even

A New Start 2
After a few seconds of awkwardly standing outside, Nora forced herself to walk through the front doors of her new school. And by “new,” really it meant that the old giant high school was renovated to accommodate human students. When she got inside, she was absolutely astonished at the sight she saw. Giants were everywhere; she’d been around giants since her father’s death but not so many at once.
“It’s something isn’t it?” A voice snapped Nora out of her stupor. She turned to see a girl with long red flowing curls and chocolate brown eyes with a grin plastered on her lips. “Seeing everyon

Dark, part 1
Chris tightened her sweater around her shoulders, grimacing at the darkened sky. Her phone vibrated in her pocket. She sighed. Probably another text from Kellian, asking where she was. With a smile, she drew the small device from her pocket. The screen flashed white. Chris glanced to the right side of the screen and frowned. The battery was low. Love you~
She hit send. The message read 'sent', and the screen went black. Chris s

Well, I can defiantly say this was something random. And I had no idea how to end it, so this is what you got. Yay!
