It hadn't been long before the two humans were split up, and she was instead by herself. Sitting completely in an open palm with nothing but her jacket and her backpack. Huge fingers curled up around her like a safety railing.

They were silent with each other for now, and it was making her uncomfortable.

Being able to feel the pulse beneath her hands was putting her on the edge, as those veins were connected to an even larger heart probably the same size she was. And with the tendons and muscles flexing under her fingertips putting her even more on edge. Going from never seeing a giant before, to being held by one all in the same day was a bit much. And doing too much to already fraying her nerves.

She wasn't scared of giants, but knowing that a being could accidently kill you without even realizing it, was a little bit unnerving. She tried to relax, really, she did, but even tough girl Tatiana had a few hidden fears of her own.

It took only mere minutes for the man to clear the distance and she could hear mumblings going on from inside different rooms as they passed through the hallways. Huge, dark mahogany doors stretched for miles above her head as she took everything in. The thing that probably scared her the most was that it was one boy and one girl to a room, whether that be a small female and a giant male, or a small male and a giant female. Somehow, those thoughts weren't comforting.

Large gold plates probably two times her arm size in length were drilled into every door, sporting a number and two names.

"Here, are the sleeping quarters," Mr. Henderson finally said, causing Tatiana to flinch in alarm, before reminding herself it was just him. "You'll be staying here with your roommate. As well, he'll be helping you around, since human transportation is highly discouraged. A human is to not be alone when wandering the halls or anywhere they could be hidden from sight, or unnoticed."

"Understood," she agreed softly, still calming her rapidly beating heart.

They stopped at a door, the third to last one in the hallway, before the hall took a turn to the left, leading down for more dormitories. A large 27 decorated the gold plate and the names Julian and Tatiana adorned it underneath.

So, her roommate's name was Julian, huh?

The large golden knob was opened and inside was one huge bed completely centered, pressed the headboard up against the wall. A window was situated to it's right and a dresser off that. A lamp much taller than herself accompanied an digital alarm clock. Bright, bold red numbers in complete view. She knew that was going to be a nuisance when trying to sleep.

Upon investigating the room more, she noticed there was a door leading into a bathroom, half cracked open and a little further away, there was a spot where a tiny bed was placed. It was being supported off the ledge of the window, and right beside the giant bed she noticed. Something about this room's arrangement could give her roommate a little more easy access to her than she would've liked. But complaining wasn't going to get her anywhere.

Beside her bed on the little platform had a dresser scaled to her size, even a lamp that she could flick on and off if she wanted to.

Mr. Henderson looked down to Tatiana, watching as she scanned the room. A small smile on his face as he noticed her uneasy glances. "Breathe Ms. Winters, you'll be fine. Your first year will be spent with Mr. Haynes. And then you'll switch roommates unless requested otherwise."

He stepped smoothly over to the small little area hanging over the side of the windowsill. He placed his hand palm up against it and steadily let Tatiana take her time.

Getting up, the dirty blonde used her hands to press into his skin before moving finally, stepping cautiously over the palm that seemed to dip slightly under her almost non-existent weight. After she had tumbled onto solid ground, she brushed herself off and adjusted her pack once more, watching as the titanic adult got up. His chest stretching much farther over her head, but she was left at a better angle than before. From this vantage point, she could still make out his huge features. It was better than being on the complete ground and looking upwards.

"Mr. Haynes should be here soon," Mr. Henderson mentioned, looking down to the tiny human girl standing so tightly. "But until he does return, I recommend you getting your stuff unpacked and into your dresser. You can keep your bag."

"One question," Tatiana called out before he could leave. "Is there a certain dress code I have to follow?"

Mr. Henderson paused for the moment, before his smile returned to his face. "Nothing to vulgar and showing and you will be good, Ms. Winters. We'll see you downstairs at dinner time."

And he left. Shutting that huge, dark brown door effortlessly. Someone like Tatiana could never even dream of moving a door that heavy with no problem. Even getting it to budge would be a problem. It'd be straining work.

Shaking her head, she tore her eyes away from the door, and she looked to her space of the room. A small dark dresser, smooth and clean. The sheets of the bed were pristine white and tucked under the mattress neatly. It was gave off the illusion of being something like a hotel bed, sheets always freshly cleaned and beds completely made. She tightened her hands into fists, just glaring at this whole place. The light from the window right next to her shone down onto the area, giving it a warmer air.

She huffed. Tatiana was just... miffed. Completely. Her parents thought that sending her off to get 'fixed' was going to help. A Co-Ed school. She shook her head, loose, messy bun swaying back and forth.

Sliding her arms out of her backpack, she set the heavy thing down on the bed, hearing the springs creak a little bit at the new weight. Unzipping it slowly, she tugged a little harder to get it to release. She'd stuffed everything into the bag, so of course it was putting up some resistance.

Finally, she opened it up and held it that way, just looking into the bag and at all her belongings, the girl shuddered. There was no way she could get used to living in a place like this.

Grabbing her things, Tatiana began to split all her clothes up into organized piles. Shirts, pants, summer clothing, pajamas and delicates.

Grabbing her pile of neatly folded shirts, she set them into the third drawer in the dresser. Her summer clothing followed into the fourth drawer, pants in the last, pajamas into the second from the top, and delicates and socks in the very top one. It's how her things had been organized at home, so it's how she worked it out here. Actually sort of relieved that the dresser had five drawers.

Before anything else could be pulled out and set, she heard - and felt - the telltale rumbling of someone in the hallway. It was going to drive her crazy if all the giants walked that heavily. She turned her back to the door, only to realize that was a mistake.

The sound of the door handling jiggling made stomach twist, and the worst part was, two voices from beyond the door seemed to be shouting at each other. Her heart froze for a moment as the door finally opened and she blinked.

Whomever had opened the door had stopped as well, upon seeing the tiny human standing on the small area. Sharp eyes locked onto her form instantly and he slowly let the door shut heavily. Just studying the back of the girl interested him. "You must be Tatiana," the rumbling voice sounded from behind her.

"I'd be surprised if you weren't Julian," she hesitantly turned back around and faced the man in the room with her. Once her eyes laid sight on him, her breath sucked in sharply. He was tall. And when she said that, she meant huge. Broad shoulders constricted under a tight navy blue shirt. Arms with muscles larger than she was. Muscular hands, a sturdy jawline. Dark brown hair and melting brown eyes. Everything about this guy was intimidating and the last thing she wanted to do was get on his bad side.

He took a few steps forwards and upon instinct, Tatiana took a few steps backwards. At least, as many as she could before she bumped into her bed.

A smirk crawled over Julian's lips as he saw her scrambled attempts to keep a safe distance between the both of them. "C'mon Tatty, don't be like that," his voice grew softer, but deeper than closer he got and she could feel his voice resonating inside her even with the giant still a few paces away. "I just wanna get a better look at you."

She laughed nervously as he finally stopped, his shadow completely swallowing her. "I- ah, I don't think so.. that might be a little too advanced for right now--"

A chuckle sounded from right above her and she sunk back onto her bed, almost hoping that she could hide away in those pristine white sheets. Her hands clenched tightly into the comforter as she heaved in a couple breaths at a time.

"You're playing hard to get, aren't you?" Julian purred, dark eyes scanning her tiny form. She was insanely small compared to him, and she really didn't want to have Julian as her first year buddy. "I'm not all that bad, am I?" Although, the smirk never left his lips, his eyes left her form and scanned her homely area.

Before she could even have a chance to respond to that, something overshadowed her spot and she yanked the covers closer. With a quick glance upwards and it was revealed that he was reaching for her, a hand that had to be two to three times her own size. A gasp jammed in her chest as Julian reached for her. Seemingly without a second thought and before long, his fingers were coiling around her. "Let go!" She demanded. "I don't consent, I don't consent!" But, without much surprise, he ignored her and easily pried her tiny hands off the covers, lifting her from the sturdy ground.

And then there she was, dangling between two huge fingertips as he examined her. Large brown eyes searching over her form. "You're pretty puny for a human," Julian muttered, probably more to himself than her, but loud enough for her to hear easily.

"'You're pretty puny for a human'," Tatiana mocked, before she bit her lip, watching the male carefully. She opened her mouth to say something, but nothing really came out, instead, she began to squirm helplessly. "Are you deaf or something? I said let go."

His dark brows furrowed forwards before his smirk grew wider. "Oh, I heard you loud and clear Pipsqueak, I just chose to ignore you."

Growingly, she kicked out, trying to get him to release her, but if anything, he just watched her struggling with amusement. Tatiana was growling and muttering curses under her breath. "Out of all the first years in this place, I get stuck with a guy like you. Yippee for me." The little nicknames she'd already gotten were degrading.

She's been called 'Tatty', 'puny', 'pipsqueak' and God knows that more are probably on the way too. The big brute was nothing more than an overgrown giant jerk that wanted control over a tiny human. Tatiana was all too aware of this fact. And there was nothing she could do against him.

This was already turning out to be one hell of a first year.
Seems like Tatiana is finally meeting someone that matches her in wit and snark, but outmatches her completely in size. Better watch what you say Tatty, Julian's got a lot more hidden than you think.

Anyways, second chapter is up and rolling, and I'm having way too much fun with this! I hope you're all enjoying this as much as I am.~
